Hannah Robertson MSST BSc (hons) Sports Therapy
Hello! I’m Hannah and I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in June 2016 with a first class honours degree in Sports Therapy and joined the team at Launceston Sports & Therapy in October 2016 after deciding to move back to lovely Cornwall! I’ve always had a big interest in sport and keeping healthy and participated in county level badminton and netball when I was a teenager. Through this I’ve seen many injuries and was inspired to become a Sports Therapist in order to help people return to sport after injury. Even though I don’t play at county level anymore, I am passionate about being active and I still play badminton competitively as well as cycling and attending gym classes frequently.
Although only graduating in 2016, I’ve gained experience working in clinical and sporting environments and have seen many different injuries which have helped me develop a wide variety of skills. I’ve been lucky to have worked with athletes from many sports including football, hockey, basketball, running, badminton and rugby. My clients are from all age ranges and sporting abilities including the elderly, children, adolescents and people with disabilities. Currently, along with clinic sessions, I work with Tavistock Rugby Club doing pitch side first aid, plus prevention and management of injuries during weekly training sessions.
In the next few years I aim to develop my rehabilitation skills and incorporate it into the clinical setting. Also I wish to gain further qualifications that can help improve, build and widen my skills set.
